Kick-off to the Second Annual Saratoga Springs Mardi Gras Festival

The Giving Circle and The Saratoga County Arts Council will be hosting a multi-cultural event to raise awareness of the plight of our Sister City (Waveland, MS destroyed by Hurricane Katrina) and the Latino Community Advocacy Program operated by Saratoga County EOC.

Program:

  • Meet and Greet: Hosted by Al Showers, WLOX News Reporter, Southern Mississippi.
  • Film and Panel Presentation: 3 Years Later - Living in the Aftermath of Katrina, Experience of Local Volunteers in the Rebuilding Effort.
  • Film and Panel Presentation with Trudi Renwick, PhD: Latinos in Saratoga Springs: Helping Our Neighbors Who Help our Economy. Discussion of Economic Benefits Latinos provide to our local economy.
  • King Cake and other refreshments will be served.
